Springtime in New Haven!
Among other things, Cheryl and I are the Chief Blossom Predictors and record keepers for Wooster Square's famous Cherry Trees for the Historic Wooster Square Association. This entails taking a kajillion photos and posting them every day, from little green buds to our peak, then all the way to leaves. We also post about every other week during the year.
Of course, this year, I was out there with one more thing on my mind.... BIRDS!
Here are a few of my favorites!
Male Cardinal
White Breasted Nuthatch
Cedar Waxwing
Honey Bee Blossom face plant
I found the hive, if you click on this gif and
enlarge, you see hundreds of bees on the inside!
Female House Sparrow
Chipping Sparrow
Female Cardinal
Flea Flicker
Grey Catbird
Hard to tell male from female
American Robin
Bumble Bee
Female Cardinal
Honey maker
Male Cardinal
We saw this unidentifiable bird waaay
up in the trees in Winchester Massachusetts.
Fortunately, we gotta guy for that.
My guess was an Orchard Oriole.
Close.
Most likely a female Baltimore Oriole he says.
Makes sense, as I was taking pictures of her
I saw what I thought was red and a cardinal
fly by...but my guess is that was the male.
Missed him!!
Common Grackle
House Sparrows m/f
Male House Finch
Female House Sparrow
White Breasted Nuthatch
Female Cardinal
Blue Jay
Red Winged Blackbird
American Robin
Female House Sparrow
